How it works

The hydraulic pusher feeds the material to the rotor in a controlled way.

Rotor and stator knives reduce the material until it can pass through the chosen screen.

Controlled and versatile size reduction

The RSS Single Shaft Shredder, also known as the Mono Rotor Shredder, is designed for controlled and efficient reduction of a wide range of material flows. A robust rotor, high torque and a hydraulically driven pusher together keep the material feed constant and controlled.

The pusher brings the material to the rotor, where it is reduced between the rotating and the fixed knives. An interchangeable screen sets the output fraction and keeps material that is still too large in the cutting chamber until it has reached the right size.

With different rotor, knife and screen configurations the machine can be matched to the material and the capacity required. The Single Shaft Shredder suits plastics, wood, rubber, cable, production waste and various industrial residual flows, among others.

The machine can work standalone or as the first step in a complete RSS processing line, for example together with a granulator for further reduction.
